Associate Environmental Engineer

About the role

Parsons is now hiring an entry‑level engineer for its rapidly expanding environmental and remediation sector. The position is based in Syracuse, NY, the main hub of Parsons’ Environmental Practice. You will perform engineering and design assignments that apply basic principles and theories learned in a bachelor’s or master’s engineering program, and may assist with field inspections and inspection reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of engineering duties and design assignments.
• Develop engineering computations, material quantity take‑offs, estimates, surveys and designs.
• Create engineering products that meet customer quality requirements under close supervision.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Relevant work experience or internships are a plus.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate preferred.
• Basic process engineering knowledge.
• Working knowledge of CAD and typical engineering PC software packages.
