Technician IV

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Technician IV to support wastewater treatment operations and environmental projects. The role involves both office and field work, with travel and relocation flexibility. You will work under general supervision and may lead lower‑level technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Perform non‑routine, heavy‑labor tasks related to industrial and hazardous waste, field environmental surveys, and wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance.
• Collect samples and maintain detailed documentation and record logs.
• Operate trucks, pumps, vacuum equipment, oil booms, generators, and other machinery.
• Establish and maintain activity logs and documentation.
• Test, calibrate, repair, and modify control and instrumentation systems on‑site.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to lower‑level technicians.
• Prepare field and office reports of activities and findings.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6+ years related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 4+ years experience.
• Completion of a 40‑hour OSHA training course (annual 8‑hour update) for industrial or hazardous wastewater operations.
• No security clearance required.

Required skills

• Operation of trucks, pumps, vacuum equipment, oil booms, generators, and related machinery.
• Testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying control and instrumentation systems.
