GIS Specialist

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented GIS Specialist to create, update, manage, and correct file geodatabases. The role involves working with ArcGIS Pro, conducting GPS field work, performing quality control of spatial data, and providing map creation, publishing, and technical support. You will join the Federal Solutions team at the SRP Geospatial Support Center in Fort A.P. Hill, VA.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, manage, and correct file geodatabases.
• Use ArcGIS Pro for spatial data analysis, map creation, publishing, and GIS technical support.
• Handle multiple data sets simultaneously and develop scripts in Python as needed.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of related GIS experience.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and strong written and oral communication skills.
