Associate Director, Vaccine Manufacturing

Merck is expanding its animal health manufacturing footprint with a $895 million investment in De Soto, Kansas. As an Associate Director of Vaccine Manufacturing, you will lead a technical team responsible for the end‑to‑end production of veterinary vaccines, ensuring compliance with corporate, site and departmental procedures. You will develop strategic plans, allocate resources, coach team members, and drive execution excellence while managing budgets and supporting regulatory inspections. The role requires overseeing SOP authoring, quality notifications, product release, validation activities, and problem‑solving across the Integrated Process Team. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering, at least five years of vaccine manufacturing experience, and three years of supervisory experience. Strong analytical abilities, knowledge of aseptic techniques, GMP, lean manufacturing, and SAP are essential. The position offers a salary range of $129,000‑$203,100 per year, eligibility for bonuses and long‑term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
