About the role
The Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison (West region) will lead strategic commercial engagement with national, regional and emerging key opinion leaders in rare neurological diseases, shaping brand strategy and launch planning.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute KOL engagement plans for national, regional and emerging thought leaders in rare neurological diseases.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, rehabilitation physicians, genetic specialists and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Capture, synthesize and communicate customer insights to shape brand strategy, messaging, evidence generation and launch planning.
- Lead planning and execution of commercial advisory boards and speaker bureaus, including recruitment, training and performance evaluation.
- Design strategic engagement plans for major neurology congresses and coordinate thought‑leader meetings before, during and after events.
- Support launch readiness by identifying educational gaps, assessing market dynamics and informing peer‑to‑peer education strategies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MSN, MS) preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharma/biotech or healthcare, with 3‑5 years in Thought Leader Liaison, product marketing, specialty sales, medical affairs or commercial field leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals or neurology.
- Strong understanding of commercial compliance and promotional regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

- Ability to travel 60‑70 % and work remotely with occasional Boston office visits.
