Associate Director, Business Solutions

About the role

Horizon Media (Horizon Next) is a data-driven marketing organization focused on brand strategy, media planning and investment, and analytics across channels. It is looking for an Associate Director, Business Solutions in New York to guide the Business Solutions team in turning client goals into strategic media solutions, while building client relationships and managing the team.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and leadership (about 50%): guide the team in translating client goals into strategic media solutions, collaborate with the Director and VP on the marketing approach, ensure internal and external processes and cadences, oversee campaign reporting and analysis, apply attribution models to build media recommendations, and build the quarterly plan framework and lead its presentation.
• Client relationship development (about 20%): maintain a positive rapport with the client, use Horizon's tools and partner with creative agencies to offer holistic solutions, anticipate client requests and act as the client's go-to person in meetings.
• Team management and supervision (about 30%): manage day-to-day operations of the Business Solutions team, give real-time performance feedback, help set goals and development timelines, conduct performance reviews of junior members, coach them and promote the work of the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in media planning and strategy.
• Thorough understanding of advanced analytics and performance media.
• Leadership experience developing media professionals and managing a team.
• Experience in a client relationship management role.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills, comfortable with senior leadership and constructive feedback.
• Advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Media research and reporting resources.

• Salary range of $110,000 - $130,000, with actual base pay depending on experience and qualifications.
