Associate Attorney – Litigation (Hybrid)

About the role

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia team. The role focuses on toxic tort (asbestos) and general liability defense, offering a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned litigation matters with partner oversight.
• Handle toxic tort, asbestos, premises liability, CVA, transportation, product liability, and other civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research, develop strategy, and take/defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, trial preparation, and court appearances.

Required profile

• Active Pennsylvania law license (additional jurisdiction a plus).
• Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery and conducting legal research.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated professional who takes ownership of assignments.
