Associate Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with at least three years of experience to join our family‑law practice. The role involves building strong client relationships, providing strategic counsel, and representing clients in court and negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on ongoing litigation and explain relevant legal issues.
• Conduct detailed research on case evidence, statutes, and precedent.
• Interpret case law and develop effective case strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, separation agreements, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court to argue on behalf of clients and act as first‑chair in trials.
• Represent clients in mediation, hearings, and family‑law proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and build trust‑based client relationships.
• Participate in business development and meet billable‑hour targets.

Required profile

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• Graduated from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• First‑chair trial experience, preferably in family law.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters.
