Emerging Growth Company Attorney – Professional Track

About the role

DLA Piper is seeking an experienced attorney to join its corporate group through the Professional Track Attorney program. The role focuses on emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that back them, handling venture capital financings, M&A transactions, and day‑to‑day corporate governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and draft documents for venture capital financings and M&A transactions.
• Manage corporate governance matters for emerging growth companies.
• Communicate effectively with partners, clients, and internal teams, delivering high‑quality work on tight deadlines.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff.
• Maintain availability during business hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Travel for client meetings, advocacy, or business development when required.

Required profile

• J.D. degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in emerging growth/venture capital work.
• Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce well‑reasoned deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work remotely across any U.S. location.
