Program Director - Early Settlement Southeast

About the role

The Early Settlement Mediation – Southeast Program, funded by the Oklahoma Supreme Court and administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts, seeks a Program Director to lead mediation services across eight southeastern Oklahoma counties. Based in the Pittsburg County Courthouse, the role oversees both the main office and a satellite office in McCurtain County.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with judges, court officials, and community stakeholders.
• Promote program awareness through presentations to bar associations, civic clubs, schools, and other organizations.
• Conduct mediation sessions and ensure quality outcomes.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and certify volunteer mediators.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the main and satellite offices, including staff supervision, case scheduling, and budget monitoring.
• Submit monthly and annual statistics to the State Director of Dispute Resolution and the Advisory Board.
• Attend required mediation training (civil, family, advanced) and provide conflict‑resolution training to staff and students as needed.
• Travel approximately 30% of the time within the service area.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in mediation, dispute resolution, or related legal services.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage volunteers and staff.
• Excellent communication and public‑speaking abilities.
• Ability to handle budget oversight and reporting responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the designated counties.
