Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Accounting

About the role

The Accounting Group of the D’Amore‑McKim School of Business at Northeastern University seeks a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track faculty member to begin in August 2026. The position involves teaching, research, and service at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses in financial accounting, tax, audit, data analytics or related subjects (approximately 60% of effort).
• Develop and maintain an independent research program to support AACSB scholarly status (about 20%).
• Provide service to the Accounting Group, the business school, and the university community (about 20%).

Required profile

• Doctorate in accounting or a closely related field by the start date.
• At least 4 years of college teaching and/or professional experience for ranks above entry level.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and fostering an inclusive environment.

Required skills

• Ability to teach financial accounting.
• Ability to teach tax.
