Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership

About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Rothy’s Houston Galleria, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to drive a culture of service, sales, and operational excellence. You’ll lead by example on the sales floor, inspire your team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training a strong store team.
• Maintain high performance standards by training the team on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills, and product knowledge.
• Support daily store operations, visual merchandising, and the Division of Responsibility program.
• Lead and model Rothy’s customer experience, coaching staff to uphold brand standards.
• Build customer loyalty through clienteling, relationship‑building, and in‑store events.

Required profile

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong coaching and talent development skills.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week, including peak days, holidays, evenings, and opening shifts.
