Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking, service‑oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Director of Housekeeping. The role involves ensuring a clean environment for guests while managing staff time and attendance efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Control overtime and daily staffing practices, reviewing timecards and monitoring clock‑ins/outs.
• Adjust room assignments and schedule coverage to balance workloads and minimize unnecessary overtime.
• Document call‑outs, distinguish legitimate sick time, and address patterned absences through coaching.
• Ensure all rooms and public areas are completed before authorising overtime and review exceptions daily.
• Communicate staffing gaps, vacancies and leave impacts to HR and Operations promptly.
• Maintain manager accountability for accurate timecards and consistent enforcement of time‑keeping expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Excellent time‑management and customer‑service skills.
