Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Embassy Suites by Hilton in Palmdale, California. This role oversees daily front desk operations, leads the front‑office team, and ensures compliance with Hilton brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front desk agents, night auditors, bell staff and guest service personnel, conducting shift briefings and departmental meetings.
• Oversee check‑in, check‑out, room assignments, VIP recognition and guest request handling, maintaining a strong lobby presence during peak periods.
• Assist with revenue optimization through upselling, inventory management and monitoring occupancy levels.
• Handle cash controls, audits, guest account accuracy and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, sales and F&B to ensure seamless guest experiences for groups, events and VIPs.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of front‑office experience in a hotel, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong guest‑service, communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays and evenings.

Required skills

• Hilton OnQ system experience.
• Proficiency with hotel property management systems.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
