Assistant Community Manager – Westerly House

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager at Westerly House, a 246‑unit mid‑rise property in Nashville. The role focuses on the financial and operational aspects of the community, ensuring accurate accounting, rent collection, and vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to record transactions, maintain data integrity, and generate financial reports.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor invoices, verify work performed, and manage communications between vendors, accounting, and owners.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and representation in court hearings.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, including lease review and final accounting.

Required profile

• Experience in property management accounting or a related financial role.
• Familiarity with rent collection, invoicing, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property management software.
