Area Manager – Operations

About the role

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations network is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a team of salaried and hourly associates. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are delivered on time, to the right location, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity across first‑mile, middle‑mile, and last‑mile processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of associates.
• Drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and HR to develop and execute business plans.
• Make data‑driven decisions to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage shift schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 49 lb, stand, walk, and navigate stairs for up to 12‑hour shifts.
