Analyst/Associate Consultant – Finance

About the role

The Analyst/Associate Consultant will apply financial analysis and creative problem‑solving to help public municipal utilities (water, wastewater, and stormwater) make data‑driven decisions across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Data‑mine and aggregate project data, building Excel‑based financial models for revenue, expenditure, cost allocation and rate design.
• Validate customer usage data, provide insights on usage patterns, and support decision‑making.
• Switch between multiple projects under tight deadlines, producing clear reports, proposals and presentations.
• Support senior staff in business development, marketing activities and client collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or related field.
• Strong critical‑thinking, intellectual curiosity and ability to work under multiple managers.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (dashboards, scenario analysis, financial formulas).
• Proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint for report and presentation creation.
• Familiarity with AI tools and experience analyzing large data sets.
