Aircraft Structures Rework Technician

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Aircraft Structures Rework Technician to join its Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role involves performing complex, non‑standard rework and repairs on aircraft structures and systems, supporting both the Final Assembly Line (FAL) and Flight Line operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute electrical system rework, wire and harness changes, bonding, crimping, pinning, splicing, component swaps, painting, sealing, and troubleshooting.
• Perform self‑inspections and delegated inspections in line with qualification profiles and work orders.
• Collaborate with engineering to define repair solutions and review drawings, instructions, and procedures.
• Mentor and train team members on Airbus production systems, safety processes, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in mechanics, avionics, electrical or related fields.
• Minimum two years of experience in aircraft systems and electrical rework.
• Ability to work autonomously, follow safety protocols, and handle non‑standard work environments (height, confined spaces, wet‑tank entry).

Required skills

• Electrical rework and wiring/harness expertise.
• Use of hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar production tracking systems.
