Air Conditioning Instructor (10‑month contract)

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Southern Crescent Technical College, seeks an Air Conditioning Instructor for a 10‑month term. You will deliver accredited technical courses, mentor students, and contribute to the college’s mission of workforce development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver classroom instruction in Air Conditioning Technology.
• Develop course outlines, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain academic records.
• Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Ensure safety and compliance with program certification standards.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners on recruitment, retention, and job placement.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Air Conditioning Technology or a closely related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in air‑conditioning or related HVAC work.
• Relevant licensure, certifications, or professional credentials.
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning system installation and maintenance.
• Refrigeration repair and gas‑safety certification.
• A/C system design (preferred).
• Use of Blackboard Learning Management System (preferred).
