Emergency Medical Services Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an experienced EMS professional to join the faculty as an Adjunct Instructor on the North Metro (Acworth) and Appalachian (Jasper) campuses. This part‑time, term‑based position involves teaching both classroom and laboratory components of emergency medical services programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director and lead instructor in delivering course content.
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in EMS laboratory settings.
• Assess student psychomotor skills against program criteria.
• Operate and maintain EMS skills laboratory equipment.
• Respond to student communications and complete required professional development.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Program Director or College Administration.

Required profile

• Licensed Georgia Paramedic (National Registry Certified).
• Minimum of 3 years field EMS experience.
• Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
• Experience teaching within an accredited EMS program (preferred).
• GA EMS Instructor/Coordinator License (EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic) (preferred).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) instruction.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) instruction.
• Operation of EMS laboratory equipment.
