After School Site Director

About the role

Apollo After School is seeking site directors to lead its before‑school and after‑school programs for PK‑8 schools in Chicago. The role starts in the 2026‑2027 school year and follows the district calendar.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily program operations, logistics, and safety for before‑school (10 am‑2 pm) and after‑school (2 pm‑6 pm) sessions.
• Supervise a team of instructors, maintain accurate attendance and incident records, and communicate regularly with parents and school staff.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience working with school‑age children (ages 4‑10) in a school or after‑school setting.
• At least one year of management experience overseeing five or more employees.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; must be 18 years or older.

Required skills

• Ability to stay active on your feet for extended periods and move quickly to ensure student safety.
• Comfort with indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions, including frequent bending, reaching, and participating in physical activities with children.
