After School Educator – Part‑Time

About the role

Apollo After School is seeking enthusiastic educators to provide high‑quality after‑school care and enrichment programs for elementary‑age children in Washington, DC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging activities that extend the regular school day.
• Assist with implementation of classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans.
• Ensure safety and security of all enrolled children.
• Maintain a consistent schedule and routine for students.
• Support homework completion and foster a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience working with school‑age youth (ages 4‑10) in an after‑school setting.
• Ability to command respect and manage an elementary classroom independently.
• Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification (in‑person training required).
• Team‑player attitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
