Advanced Metering Infrastructure Solution Architect

About the role

Infosys is seeking an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Solution Architect to join its SURE (Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy) unit. The role focuses on delivering strategic digital transformation for utilities and metering clients across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business analysis projects using predictive analytics and scenario modelling to uncover strategic opportunities.
• Evaluate IT solutions for alignment with client goals and provide technology recommendations.
• Produce detailed system documentation and translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Research third‑party products, assessing features, performance and integration capabilities.
• Design solution architectures, create architectural diagrams and ensure scalability, resilience and integration with existing infrastructure.
• Oversee technical implementation, optimize system performance and define maintenance strategies for long‑term reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in utilities, metering or invoicing domains.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to apply advanced techniques to business problems.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical details to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional teams.
