Advanced Analytics Intern (2027)

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an Advanced Analytics Intern to join its Supervision and Regulation team. You will work on real‑world projects that develop predictive models and data visualizations to help monitor financial risk across the Fourth District.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and testing predictive models using econometric, machine learning, and data‑mining techniques.
• Create preliminary data visualizations and contribute to analytical findings that drive actionable insights.
• Support analytic projects through concept formulation, analysis planning, model deployment, and results presentation.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts on emerging technology and AI‑related initiatives.
• Participate in weekly team stand‑ups and program increment planning sessions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green‑card holder with at least one semester remaining.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience working with large data sets.
• Statistical programming in Python and/or R.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of data‑processing tools like SQL or Spark (a plus).
