Adult Education ESL & EL / Civics Instructor

About the role

The Adult Education ESL & EL / Civics Instructor will deliver classroom instruction to adult learners at Rockdale Career Academy, a campus of Georgia Piedmont Technical College. This role supports the State of Georgia’s mission to improve the lives of its citizens through high‑quality adult education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English as a Second Language (ESL), English Literacy (EL), and civics.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records in accordance with state guidelines.
• Develop and adapt instructional materials to reflect cultural and linguistic diversity.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to enhance program effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners in ESL, EL, or civics.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
