Adjunct Adult Education Instructor – Grovetown (Morning, Hourly)

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Augusta Technical College, is seeking an Adjunct Adult Education Instructor to teach morning classes in Grovetown. This hourly position involves face‑to‑face instruction for adult learners in core subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify student goals using pre‑assessments and develop individualized learning plans.
• Deliver classroom instruction in reading, math, science, social studies, and language skills.
• Plan and implement lessons that promote higher‑order thinking and standards‑based instruction.
• Record weekly attendance, monitor student progress, and submit reports.
• Maintain flexibility to accommodate student schedules and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Availability to teach in‑person between 8 am and 1 pm.
• Ability to attend staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of experience teaching K‑12 or adult education, classroom management experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
