About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat in‑patient clients in New Orleans. The role involves developing therapy programs based on physician orders and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions to post‑acute or home care.

Key responsibilities

Perform patient evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
Assess response to therapy, modify plans as needed, and document care according to standards.
Communicate with the healthcare team to coordinate discharge planning.
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital quality and safety targets.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Current state physical therapy license (or eligibility for licensure).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
