Accounts Receivable Associate

About the role

HD Supply is hiring an Accounts Receivable Associate for its Redi Carpet business unit. The role maintains accounts receivable calculations and records, including cash receipts, claims, overdue invoices, interest charges, refunds and related items, while keeping vendor compliance and customer service standards. It is performed under general supervision, with work mostly done indoors and sitting, and no travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Compute and record interest charges, refunds and similar items, and prepare account statements accurately.
• Perform basic data entry and research in department systems to keep account information current.
• Support customer requests for special billing services.
• Follow up with service centers on missing COD checks, distribute them to customers and research unapplied payments, notifying customers and processing refund and application requests.
• Track short payments and decide whether to rebill or write off balances.
• Analyze exceptions, review correspondence and route unresolved items to the right departments.
• Verify and match account data across multiple systems and perform clerical support for the Accounts Receivable Department.

Required profile

• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility; HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Complex issues are referred to a supervisor; work follows well-defined policies and procedures.
