Account Manager - Peripheral Vascular, San Fernando Valley

About the role

Stryker is hiring a field-based Account Manager for its peripheral vascular business in the San Fernando Valley area. The role involves giving clinical demonstrations and instruction on company products to physicians and administrators in patient-care areas of healthcare facilities, and increasing acceptance and use of the products. It is 100% commission, with eligibility for bonuses and benefits, and requires about 30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Give clinical demonstrations and instruction on company products in pre-sale, implementation and post-sale situations, in formal, small-group or individual presentations in patient-care areas.
• Present to physicians and administration customers the clinical and/or financial benefits of the devices.
• Evaluate new products or device enhancements and give feedback to Product Development and Marketing.
• Work with customers to introduce, promote and increase product usage across their facilities.
• Collect and share customer feedback, and represent the company at trade shows and educational meetings.
• Provide product support and education to users in person, in service or by written or verbal means.
• Keep up with new developments in the market and act as a subject matter expert.
• Share information with internal executives and staff on customer acceptance during the pre-sale and evaluation process.

Required profile

• BS degree preferred in a related field, or 6 years of demonstrated successful sales experience.
• At least 4 years of related medical device experience.
• Preferred: experience in the endovascular/OR space and clinical acumen.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, meet deadlines and concentrate on detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, and excellent command of English.
• Strong sales and business acumen, and the ability to solve complex clinical problems.

Required skills

• Effective educational and presentation skills in diverse settings.
• Microsoft Office, with the ability to develop presentation materials.
• Maintaining certifications and vendor credentials.
