Account Manager – Low & Medium Voltage Solutions

About the role

ABB is seeking an Account Manager to drive sales of low and medium voltage products, solutions, and services across the Baton Rouge, LA trade area. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, you will help customers in the construction market achieve leaner, cleaner operations while expanding ABB’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Sell assigned product groups, meeting volume, mix, and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, distributors, consultants, and end‑users.
• Identify and develop sales opportunities within commercial, industrial, and multi‑family construction projects.
• Prepare sales plans, monitor order status, and propose recovery actions for potential shortfalls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to leverage ABB’s full product portfolio and create comprehensive offers.

Required profile

• BS degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum two years of sales experience in the electrical industry, preferably serving commercial, industrial, or multi‑family markets.
• Ability to travel throughout Baton Rouge and Southern Louisiana as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce (preferred).
