A220 Flight Line Quality Inspector – Weekend Shift

About the role

The Flight Line Quality Inspector ensures aircraft system integrity and conformity during the flight line phase, from hand‑over to final delivery. This weekend‑shift position supports ground and flight operations for A220 aircraft at the Mobile, AL facility.

Key responsibilities

• Release aircraft for ground and flight operations, including engine run‑ups and pre/post‑flight checks.
• Document test results in the Technical Log Book and certify airworthiness compliance.
• Perform troubleshooting, special inspections, and support flight test team meetings.
• Execute ground checks, static system tests, APU runs, low/high power engine runs, and compass swings per flight test procedures.
• Manage non‑conformance, MRB approvals, service bulletins, and FAA Certificate of Airworthiness applications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of aviation experience, including flight‑line work.
• Valid FAA A&P or TCCA AME M2 license (required); A220 type rating preferred.
• Previous mechanic or technician experience; airline background desirable.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Aircraft inspection and quality management system knowledge.
• Troubleshooting of avionics, airframe, and power‑plant systems.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, drawing systems, and airworthiness regulations.
