Weekend Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS/RVT II)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT II) to work weekend shifts at its Macungie location. The role involves performing ultrasound and vascular examinations, ensuring high‑quality imaging, and supporting patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on various vascular systems according to physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist with specialized exams and vascular procedures using advanced imaging equipment.
• Maintain quality control, quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate imaging parameters and protocols with radiologists and assist in protocol revisions.
• Obtain and verify patient consents before imaging and prepare images for radiologist interpretation.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved CAHEA diagnostic medical sonography program and in good standing with ARDMS.
• Ability to reason logically, assess performance, and handle confidential medical information ethically.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 40‑50 lb, stand for long periods, and walk up to 8‑10 miles per shift.
