Vac Truck Helper

About the role

Atakapa Services, LLC., a Waggoner Company, is seeking a Vac Truck Helper in Bossier City, LA. The company provides inspection, cleaning, and rehabilitation services for sanitary sewer and storm‑drain infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the vacuum‑truck operator in safely collecting, transporting, and disposing of industrial waste, liquids, sludge, and other materials.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections to keep the vacuum truck in proper working order.
• Follow all safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and company procedures during operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job and material disposal.
• Communicate with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate tasks and report any equipment or site issues.
• Participate in emergency response for spills, accidents, or disaster situations such as hurricanes.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel and work multiple days on‑site as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements is a plus.
• Team‑oriented attitude with effective communication skills.
