Union Door Person – The Essex

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Union Door Person to provide front‑desk and resident services at its community in The Essex, New York. The role works the Tuesday‑Saturday shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, acting as the first point of contact for prospects, residents and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet prospects and residents, monitor guest traffic and answer phone calls, routing them to the appropriate team member.
• Manage package deliveries, document arrivals and notify residents within 24 hours.
• Monitor the fire alarm panel, security cameras and parking lot, and keep a daily log of events and community security status.
• Assist residents with luggage carts, equipment rentals, dry‑cleaning services and coordinate vendor service tickets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date information on local restaurants, shops and delivery services, and nurture relationships with concierge vendors.
• Book the freight elevator for move‑ins, move‑outs and furniture deliveries.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and reliable record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as per the scheduled shift.
