Technical Service Representative – Minneapolis/St. Paul

About the role

Join BASF’s Automotive Refinish team as a Technical Service Representative serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul market. You will act as the technical bridge between BASF’s high‑performance coating products and body‑shop customers, ensuring successful product application and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support and training to body‑shop and distribution customers across Minnesota.
• Develop and improve paint‑application processes, conduct hands‑on demonstrations, and resolve color‑match issues.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to convert new business and achieve identified KPI targets.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting for technical challenges.
• Travel within the Minneapolis/St. Paul region using a company‑provided vehicle.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma (GED) acceptable.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with automotive coatings or paint‑application in the automotive market.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; CRM experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
