About the role
The Technical Advisor will provide expert guidance on workforce skills development for the Lifting Futures program, a $30M initiative aimed at training 10,000 advanced manufacturing workers by 2030. Reporting to the Project Director, the advisor will support grant management, community planning, and technical assistance across multiple global locations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy for workforce skills development within project constraints.
- Design and oversee grant mechanisms, processes, and technical deliverables.
- Mobilize technical assistance from FHI 360 and external consultants for grantees.
- Facilitate community planning sessions, uniting education, industry, and government stakeholders.
- Develop grant strategies, identify opportunities and barriers, and articulate community impact.
- Manage Community Coordinators to ensure deliverables are met.
- Support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning lead in refining project indicators.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Workforce Education, International Development, Economic Development, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management of complex, global initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in career and technical education program design.
