Swim Instructor – Seasonal Part‑Time

About the role

Join the Dundee Township Park District as a Swim Instructor and help participants of all ages develop confidence and safety in the water. This seasonal, non‑exempt position works within the Recreation department and reports to the Swim Lesson Coordinator. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering high‑quality aquatic programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach group and private swim lessons using approved aquatic instruction techniques.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different ages, experience levels, and abilities.
• Communicate progress and feedback to parents and participants.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by following facility policies, safety procedures, and emergency action plans.

Required profile

• Passion for swimming and teaching with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Minimum age of 15 years (valid work permit required for applicants under 16).
