Staff Supplier Integration Manager - ARC

About the role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Staff Supplier Integration Manager (SSIM) to lead global supply‑chain strategy for its ARC fusion power‑plant program. The SSIM will work closely with engineering, R&D, business development and government affairs to translate design decisions into practical, cost‑effective supplier solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Chief Engineer, R&D, and Fusion Economics teams to drive value engineering, cost reductions and technology selection for ARC hardware.
• Develop and execute category and commodity strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking, market analysis and supplier selection.
• Conduct systematic global supplier searches, build senior‑level relationships, and negotiate long‑term, high‑value agreements.
• Provide feedback to engineering on design levers that impact cost, risk and manufacturability.
• Support Investor Relations, Business Development and Corporate Finance with diligence materials and strategic insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years experience managing supply chains for raw materials, metals, machined components, welding, fabrication or contracted assemblies.
• Proven ability to operate in low‑TRL, high‑uncertainty environments and to influence senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel 25‑50% of the time, including remote site visits.
