Software Engineering Internship - Summer 2027

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 Software Engineering internship in California, open to students currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Interns contribute to real projects, work alongside mentors and high-level stakeholders, and document complex processes clearly. The role is based in San Jose.

Key responsibilities

• Apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, growing industry setting and implement new ideas while being challenged.
• Network with key stakeholders and leaders of the business.
• Join one of several teams: Advanced Quality (new product engineering, human factors, reliability, design verification), Process Quality (root cause analysis, corrective actions, CAD, LabView), Supplier Quality (supplier standards and manufacturing processes), Quality (product evaluation, post-market complaints and design changes), Research & Development (New Product Development and Product Engineering), Test Lab (prototype testing and design verification), or Manufacturing (fixture development, lean manufacturing, ergonomics).

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above verified at hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and does not need sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

What we offer

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage.
