Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/Edge Applications)

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, described as a hybrid software engineer and technical consultant who embeds within a strategic customer to implement, customize and scale ADI's AI and edge technology into the customer's real-world infrastructure. The role is customer-embedded, AI and software centric, and involves on-site work with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Write production-grade code: custom data pipelines, API integrations and MLOps/AI workflows.
• Embed on-site with clients, partnering across CSG, VBU, SDP and Edge AI teams.
• Frame customer problems and own the architecture that solves them.
• Drive rapid iteration and field learning to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
• Produce reusable, ADI-owned assets that create defensible wedges.

Required profile

• BS/MS in CS, EE or a related field; 10+ years building production software.
• Comfortable deploying and debugging on-site in complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication, able to translate customer needs into architecture.
• Willingness to travel and embed with strategic clients (about 10% of the time).
• Preferred: Edge AI, LLM/agentic systems or signal-processing background, and prior forward-deployed, field or solutions-engineering experience.

• Expected wage range of $197,800 to $271,975 for a new hire, varying by location, experience and other factors.
