Software Engineer II – AWS DynamoDB

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the DynamoDB team, one of the world’s largest NoSQL database services. In this role you will help shape the future of a high‑performance, distributed key‑value and document database that powers mission‑critical workloads for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, code review, and incremental feature launches.
• Design, build, and operate highly scalable distributed systems that deliver single‑digit‑millisecond latency at any scale.
• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to solve complex engineering problems across multiple dimensions.
• Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement of processes and code quality.

• Ability to work independently and take end‑to‑end ownership of features.
