Software Development Engineer, AWS IAM Identity Center

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS IAM Identity Center team. You will help design and build services that enable customers to manage workforce identities and control access to AWS and SaaS applications. The role blends security, user experience, and large‑scale cloud engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global team of engineers to develop innovative services used by millions of users worldwide.
• Build and enhance core platforms that power AWS IAM Identity Center, leveraging modern cloud technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems for identity and access management.
• Troubleshoot complex operational issues, create permanent fixes, and apply lessons learned to future iterations.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing frameworks, and continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling considerations.
• Proven ability to program in at least one major programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
