Senior Survey Technician

About the role

The Senior Survey Technician will lead the creation of CAD deliverables for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and land‑development surveys. You will apply surveying and mapping principles to support land‑development, commercial, and construction projects while ensuring high‑quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate CAD drawings and deliverables for various survey types, including ALTA/NSPS and construction surveys.
• Apply surveying and mapping principles to generate legal descriptions, easements, and research documentation.
• Perform calculations for field crews and assist with survey data processing and mapping.
• Analyze deeds, plats, and legal documents to support survey deliverables.
• Use CAD software to process survey data, create plan sets, and extract linework from point clouds (TopoDOT or similar).
• Collaborate with field crews for data collection, quality control, and project completion.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of surveying technology, CAD standards, and software updates.

Required profile

• Experience with ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary, topographic, construction and FEMA‑related surveys.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail, ability to work independently on multiple projects.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a commitment to quality.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
