Senior Software Engineer (Cloud)

About the role

Runpod is building a cloud platform for large‑scale AI workloads. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design and implement core infrastructure that powers thousands of VMs across global data centers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure software, primarily using Go.
• Integrate new data centers, optimize existing functionality, and deliver new features to customers.
• Collaborate with managers and engineers to define product requirements and participate in architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and improve performance and reliability of existing code.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go and its ecosystem.
• Experience with C, Rust, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript (preferred).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Linux containers) and virtual machines/hypervisors.
• Experience building and maintaining large‑scale distributed systems.
