Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

CertifyOS is building a data infrastructure platform for modern healthcare and seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the operational lifecycle of its cloud‑native services. You will design, automate, and maintain highly reliable systems that process millions of provider records across GKE and Cloud Run.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud‑native infrastructure on GCP, ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi, and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Develop and refine SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve observability.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes, creating runbooks and escalation workflows.
• Optimize autoscaling, resource utilization, and cost efficiency for distributed workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering operating production systems at scale.
• Strong Linux administration, incident response, and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Proven ability to influence reliability standards and mentor engineering teams.
• Experience working with sensitive data or PII in regulated environments.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Monitoring).
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or Pulumi.
• Container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Cloud Build.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Google Cloud Monitoring.
• Scripting/Programming: Python, Bash, Go.
• Linux systems administration.
