Senior Project Director

About the role

The Senior Project Director leads the delivery of one of the organization’s largest, strategically critical customer programs, typically valued between $250M and $500M. This role owns overall program success, from solution shaping through execution, commissioning and closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, governance, execution and delivery of a single enterprise‑scale project, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Establish disciplined program governance, including executive steering routines, risk registers, change control and escalation paths.
• Serve as the primary customer‑facing leader, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and representing the organization in executive reviews and negotiations.
• Own program‑level financial performance, margin protection, forecasting and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 15+ years of progressive project or program leadership experience on large, complex customer programs.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale programs of $250M+ and managing senior‑level customer relationships.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced program governance, risk management and change control.
• Financial discipline including budgeting, forecasting and margin protection.
• Deep understanding of complex automation, material handling, software, controls, installation and commissioning.
