Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Dematic Lifecycle Solutions and Services – Modernizations and Upgrades team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering scope for Amazon modernization and retrofit projects. You will work on short‑duration projects, partnering closely with customers and internal experts to deliver high‑quality material handling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute mechanical engineering scope for assigned projects, ensuring quality, on‑time delivery and cost targets.
• Maintain project logs, report portfolio performance, and provide short‑term forecasts across multiple projects.
• Design complex systems that integrate hardware and software, prepare material specifications and schematics, and recommend productivity improvements.
• Communicate and train customers on final system design, and travel up to 20% to customer or Dematic locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in material handling/automation projects.
• Strong background in project‑based mechanical engineering from design through installation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CET Configura.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
