Senior Manager, Decision Science

About the role

Travelers is seeking a Senior Manager, Decision Science to drive data‑driven business decisions across the enterprise. In this individual‑contributor position you will combine statistical expertise, business insight, and strong communication to uncover the why behind trends and guide strategic actions.

Key responsibilities

• Procure and prepare data for current and future analyses while adhering to coding best practices.
• Identify data‑quality gaps and recommend improvements.
• Apply complex diagnostic, multivariate, and experimental design techniques to answer business questions and test hypotheses.
• Explore and introduce new analytic tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Create clear visualizations (charts, graphs, maps) to convey insights to diverse audiences.
• Interpret findings, communicate recommendations, and balance business constraints with analytical results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to influence outcomes and inform strategic decisions.
• Mentor and serve as a resource for junior analysts.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in decision science, analytics, or related fields.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and mentor others.
