Senior Manager / Associate Director, EHDS Data Cataloguing

About the role

The Senior Manager / Associate Director, EHDS Data Cataloguing leads the European Health Data Space (EHDS) data inventory and cataloguing workstream for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, ensuring data is discoverable, compliant and well‑governed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the EHDS Data Inventory and Cataloguing workstream, coordinating data owners to identify and assess all in‑scope datasets.
• Maintain a complete, up‑to‑date inventory of data assets, including ownership, EHDS category, metadata and dependencies.
• Apply and enforce EHDS classification and metadata standards (e.g., HealthDCAT‑AP) to ensure interoperability and discoverability.
• Develop and maintain guidance, decision frameworks and controls for consistent cataloguing across functions and geographies.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Data Sharing and Technology teams to embed sustainable processes and support downstream data preparation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a scientific, technology, data or healthcare discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or data‑related roles such as data management, data standards, data governance or clinical programming.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive data‑driven initiatives in a complex, global environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data cataloguing, metadata standards and classification frameworks.
• Experience with EHDS data categories, secondary‑use requirements and health‑specific metadata models (e.g., HealthDCAT‑AP).
• Ability to work with data owners to collect, validate and maintain dataset information.
