About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel provides in‑depth legal counsel and strategic advice to internal stakeholders across Kelly. Working independently with minimal guidance, the role solves complex legal problems and serves as a key resource for less‑experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate governance policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice on complex corporate matters, commercial terms, and employment law.
• Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, licenses, and leases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.
• Manage external counsel and oversee legal projects for timely, cost‑effective resolutions.
• Lead internal training on compliance and risk management.
• Monitor legal trends and advise on proactive measures.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• 5+ years of progressive legal experience in corporate or law‑firm settings.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex matters.
• Experience leading legal projects and managing external counsel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal research databases such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
• Advanced knowledge of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
• Experience negotiating and closing complex commercial transactions.
• Familiarity with intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Expertise in employment law and policy development.
